11 kidnapped victims regain freedom in Zamfara-Eleven kidnappers have been freed in Zamfara state following a peace deal by the state government.

Police have arrested the suspects in collaboration with the Homeland Security and the Interior Ministry.

Police spokesman SP Mohammed Shehu said some of the abductors abducted them and took them to a forest near Gobirawan Chali in Maru local government area of ​​the state.

“Ten of the 11 are from Kyakyaka, Tungar Haki and Gidan Ango of Gusau Local Government Area of ​​the state, while another is from Kaduna State,” Shehu said.

He said the release of the thieves was part of an ongoing peace process initiated by Governor Mohammed Bello Matawalle.

Shehu said all the victims were identified and handed over to the police for security and internal affairs for the return of their families.

He said an investigation into the allegations had begun and the results would be made public.
